Well This week I FINISHED (thats right, even with the annoying program, I Finished) the video for the cardboard boat races. I found out that I no longer have to do all the "same" tests as the rest of the class, as MY class is now going to be a video editing class, marks based on a practical note. I also took a break on the video editing now that i had finished the video, and finally figured out (after spending the whole week) how to convert it to the right kind of file to open it with NERO-- the disk burning program. STILL being completley exhausted, Iwent to Oliver! the show, and stage managed all week, because the show dates ended on saturday, followed by a karaoke party, and then work in the morning! (yay!!!) *note the sarcasm*.
Even more in 3 days!!!!!

November 22, 2007
Well this week, was spent working insanley on the video project for the Cardboard Boat Races. Unfortunatley its my first time working with the programme, so everything is going at little slower than wanted. I've been reading the program manual, and this week I learnt how to time stretch. :) I also met with Joni (the organiser of the OTHER video project I'm working on), and we talked about what she would like in her video. I ALMOST finished the video project, but its due next week, and I've lost one entire day of class to work on it, due to the PD day!

Lost Track Again!!!!!.... Unfortunatley, one thing caught up after another. I needed to finish the video project for Skills Canada (cardboard boat races) and then (because I stage managed the show Oliver!) I had to go straight from school to practice.
Anyways, the week that I should have posted here, I was busy working on the video project, probably at the stage of finishing the music video and begining the narrative video, by editing the interviews. Running into the problem that the program I used (Photoshop Premiere) kept shutting down every 5 minutes, JUST before I saved, having me re-do most of my work 3 and 4 times.
That programme is quite frustrating!!!!

Back On Track ----- Finally.
Alright! It's Friday! BLOG DAY! Today was the school Rememberance Day assembly. I must say that I'm extremley dissappointed in our student body (and even our choir!). They have NO respect for the soldiers that gave their lives for us to live. It's really depressing how they talked DURING THE MOMENT OF SILENCE. That must be a pet peeve of mine; when people do not respect things that should be respected.
On a brighter note: this week we worked on our Dreamweaver practices and Questions, and created an "imaginary animal" out of other animal parts in photoshop elements. It was a pretty great week... for the most part.
Musical theatre-wise, things are going well. This will be the best show our school has seen yet! We have actual choreography. Needless to say, I'm super excited.
Cardboard Boat Race Video- wise, I finally finished capturing everything to the computer. NOW I have to start editing. That only had begun the editing process. Wish me luck! It has to be done in less than three weeks!!!!!!!!

The Little Blog Post That Could...
FINALLY its allowing me to add videos to blogspot thing..... I've been trying every day this week! I proudly Present to you, BOB's BAD DAY! About bob, and how he's sad about how his friend and the girl he likes are going out... So he comes back on stage and melts!
... So basically (Last week) We made these animations and answered questions about Dreamweaver. Same as this week. Last week I did many, many different things besides my work, and yet I'm still caught up! Go figure! Anyways, more tomorrow, on BLOG DAY!

Finally!!!! Today's Post!!!!
Alright, well basically the Photo upload/ video upload tools on Blogger.com are NOT working right now. This week we finished the "workbooks" for macromedia flash. Today I finally handed in the 36 questions from the booklet, and yesterday I had all my "practice animations" marked. we learned how to "tween" an object, meaning we added motion to it, or we were able to change the type of shape it was, into a different shape. One of the main one's we did was a sad face turning into a happy face with the words "Have a Great Day" gliding in. This week was fairly productive, even with the tickets I had to make yesterday for the newly dated Pasta dinner Fundraiser. Today I got back whole bunch of marks, and my average for Comm Tech is 93%. French I have a 77% which I found out today. I have to work extra hard in french now!
I would upload a couple of animations/pictures we did this week, but sadly, I cant because the tools are broken. Well I'll still check. YUP BROKEN! Maybe they'll work at home, or next week.
More next week, now that I'm on top of things :)
Have a Great and HALLOWEENIE WEEK!!!!!!

And ONE MORE Forgotten Blog Post
Well I know I'm late, but better late than never, right? The week that this was supposed to be on, being last week, basically we worked on an animation "workbook" starting in Macromedia Flash. It is tres interessante to see all the different things we can get into with computers. This week we also had some kind of project where we had to do a report (or biography) of a famous photographer. I chose to do mine on Steve Curry, the "taker" of the famous "Afghan Girl" (the picture of the girl with the piercing green eyes, and the red shawl, and greenish-bluish background. On this project I received a 4+ (meaning another 95%).
That's all for this week! (It was a quite distracting week because we had a concert on Friday, for which I had to make tickets for, yet again, and they were great!
The attatched picture this week is one of my favourites, that I could not use in any project (yet).

Yet ANOTHER Forgotten Post
I've forgotten a lot of posts latley! It seems like I've been doing a lot of work on fridays for Miss Williams latley, what with making fundraiser tickets and such. Anyways, (three?) weeks ago we were continuing our Photoshop Elements projects. I successfully finished each project with a 95% on each, including the spot colour, the collage (featuring around the school concert band), the panorama (of my brother's first hockey game this year), the people photos-- using pictures of things around the house, and finally the "Old photo" repair. On the spot colours I recieved 100%. At the end of the week (I believe) we had a test. Though the test was not hard, I acheived a 92% - and to think thats without studying!- now I'll study to get that extra 7 percent! At the end of that week I was making tickets for the Pasta Dinner Fundraiser for the music room trip to Italy.
And (I Think) this is the end of said week.
The attatched picture is from the pep rally the week before!

The Forgotten Post
Oops!!!! I forgot to post least Friday! I was busy making tickets for Korah's 40th Reunion Variety Show tomorrow night! Basically this week we worked more on the Photoshop elements assignment, and after getting a 4+ on each individual assignment, I have yet another page of the assignment due tomorrow! I have 3 more parts of the assignment to finish: restoring an old photo, creating a 5 picutre panorama, and an 8 picture photo montage, avec un theme! Even though they're all due tomorrow, I should be able to finish them tomorrow, because today we have a pep-rally during class! Personally, I dont like the pep-rallies that Korah holds, simply because they dont have very much "pep", I think that we should create a "spirit club" somewhat like cheerleaders, only no dancing, no actions and no uniforms. Just fun school colours, and creating cheers for everyone to yell out! Posters, flags, and other spirit stuff included along with car rallies NOT JUST football either, but better yet, for all the games for all sports! If we had a "spirit club" I'd gladly join.
Thats enough for now, I have to get working on the French Assignment that we're supposed to be doing now. More ... tomorrow!

Yet Another Unnessecary Blog Post
Well I promised I'd write more today! ... This time I'll talk about what I did this week, problems I had and how I overcame them! -- This week we worked souly on our blogs and a Photoshop Elements Assignment, as well as a few textual assignments as well! In Photoshop Elements, the only problem I had was how to create the MOVABLE, believable cutout of a horses head. I found out that if I use the "magic wand" and the lasso tool I can paint a horse outline, and then select it separately. More next week! (See the blog post below too!)

EARLY POST
Well tomorrow is blog day, but I thought that I'd do it early this week, to show off the beautiful artwork I did today (HAHA). This week we worked mostly on a new assignment (a digital photography thing), with the acception of learning a few more "text tool" things in Photoshop Elements AND Corel Draw. Tres Interessant! Well this should be a sufficient blog post for now, and I'll write a little tomorrow too! More Soon!

Aujourd'hui ... BLOG DAY!
Je suis tres fatigue. NO I'm not going to speak in french for the entire blog. (Though I could....). I got 34/34 on my quiz today on Photoshop Elements. I'm extremely excited because the show we ARE going to do for SURE this year is called THE WIZ! Its a "different" version of The Wizard of Oz. It should be exciting. Today in photoshop we had to retouch a picture of Korah, removing the smokestacks and changing all in the picture (except the BIG K) into "sepia" form. More soon!

Random!!!
It's BLOG DAY! Of course I've already done one this week, but I'm BORED! Today I finished my picture searching, and another picture assignment in which we had to edit the picture with the Adobe Photoshop Elements --liquify application thing. I don't have much else to say, especially since the bell is going to ring in about 2 minutes ... well one minute now. Someone just "escaped" from class and I found out that the video clip I wanted to add (from Youtube) I "cant add" because youtube "access is denied". Too bad.

Introduction
Okay! So this will be the first "blog" post I'm going to do! I have many questions to answer so lets start!
1) The objective for taking the course: I am considering different "creative" paths for a career like photography, cinematography, web design, etc. Also, I joined the committee for the "2010 Finnish Grand Festival" which will be held in Sault Ste. Marie (of course in 2010). On that committee I have a couple of jobs, one being to create an artistic, catchy web page-- meaning I have to know HOW to create a web page.
2) Projects I want to work on during this course: I am looking forward to photography and editing, for the artistic reasons. I (obviously) need to know how to create a web page, and I LOVE cinematography ( working for SHAW made that quite clear). I just want to expand my technological knowledge in a FUN WAY!
3) Skills I hope to acquire: Well I Basically just explained that in 2 different paragraphs there, but like I said, I just want to expand my knowledge (and learn how to digitally edit videos, photos, etc.)
4) Any future career goals in the area or other: I have been considering many different career paths in this area. The most prominent being graphic design, and following that choice I have cinematography, photography, and basically every other subject in this area.
5) Include a favourite photo from your files or the Internet: If you can't see any right now, then you'd better look harder!
